What can I say – its stunning. The Petersham hotel is one of those distinctive buildings as you look up Richmond hill. The Petersham is one of the smaller venues in Richmond, and it only holds about 40 people, but if its small, intimate and very, very stylish you’re after you’d be hard pushed to make a better choice then here. Size certainly isn’t everything and the Petersham proves that. The staff are certainly attentive and well make sure everything about your day goes perfectly, and the chefs cook a stunning wedding breakfast.
Weddings normally take place in the river room, which overlook the Thames and Ham meadows and as the river cuts lazy meanders through Richmond and on into Surrey I think its one of the best views in London. If time permits we can walk up from the hotel onto the Terrace overlooking Richmond and get some photographs with that stunning view of Surrey in the background. You’d never really know you were in London here. If the weather insist on doing that ‘British Thing’ and been less then kind then the interiors are stunning and the staircase is something else.
I got married here, and I guess I can’t give a higher recommendation then that.
To see some of my photographs from weddings at the Petersham hotel, have a look at Lise and Daniel, or Jo and Rob’s weddings.
